Italy’s first international business school, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice is a public institution offering a wide range of programmes in the humanities, social sciences, and science and technology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. History

Founded on August 6, 1868 as the “Scuola Superiore di Commercio” (Advanced School for Commerce), Ca’ Foscari was the first Italian institution to deal with advanced education in Business and Economics. The original main office is still found in the grand gothic palace “volta de canal” (on the bend of the Grand Canal), in the heart of Venice.

Education

Ca’ Foscari is ranked third in Italy for the excellence of its research, and it has earned so many of the coveted European Commission Marie Curie research fellowships that it is one of Europe’s ten most successful universities in this regard. Globally, the QS world university rankings place Ca’ Foscari among the world’s top 100 universities for Modern Languages, the top 150 for History, and the top 250 for the study of Economics & Econometrics.

Tuition fees for BA and MA degrees – a.y. 2020/2021

If your ISEE is under 22,000 EUR and you meet the requirements of “Student Act” you will only be required to pay the following for the entire academic year 2020/2021:

  • the regional tax for financial aid of 172.00 EUR;
  • stamp duty of 16.00 EUR.

N.B. The regional tax for financial aid is calculated in proportion to the ISEE indicator for financial aid declared by the students, as shown in the following chart:

Tuition fees for BA and MA degrees – a.y. 2020/2021

If your ISEE (Indicatore Situazione Economica Equivalente – household income declaration) falls between  22.001 EUR and 30.000 EUR your fees for the 2020/2021 a.y. will be:

  • the regional tax for financial aid of 172.00 EUR;
  • stamp duty of 16.00 EUR;
  • tuition fees between 315.00 EUR and 1,020.00 EUR.

N.B. The regional tax for financial aid is calculated in proportion to the ISEE indicator for financial aid declared by the students, as shown in the following chart.

Requirements

To obtain a reduction in the above amount you must meet the following conditions:

  • you must have completed your enrolment in academic year 2020/2021, by paying the first instalment of your tuition fees by the administrative deadlines laid down for the academic year 2020/2021;
  • if you are enrolled in a bachelor’s degree programme you must not have another degree, either under the old system (even prior to DM 509/1999) or under the new system, whether obtained in Italy or abroad, or a diploma issued by the Conservatory/Fine Arts Academy, or a three-year first-level diploma issued under Italian law no. 508/1999;
  • if you are enrolled in a master’s degree programme, you must not have another degree obtained prior to DM 509/1999, specialist degree, or master’s degree, obtained either in Italy or abroad, a diploma issued by the Conservatory/Fine Arts Academy, or a two-year second level diploma issued under Italian law no. 508/1999;
  • you must not still be enrolled in a degree programme under the old system prior to DM no. 509/1999;

Tuition fees for BA and MA degrees – a.y. 2020/2021

If your ISEE is between 30,001 EUR and 60,000 EUR you will pay the following amounts for the entire academic year 2020/2021:

  • the regional tax for financial aid of 172.00 EUR;
  • stamp duty of 16.00 EUR;
  • tuition fees from 1,068.00 EUR to 1,708.00 EUR for bachelor’s degree programmes (and degree programmes under the old system prior to D.M. 509/1999) and from 1,197.00 EUR to 1,932.00 EUR for master’s degree programmes, as shown in the table below:
