The origin of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) can be traced back to the establishment of the Commercial Education Trust by seven of Delhi’s leading businessmen in early 1920. Later in the same year, the trust founded its first school in Delhi and named it The Commercial School. This school eventually turned into SRCC and made its place amongst the country’s most prestigious commerce and economics institutions. It is affiliated to the University of Delhi (DU) and consists of seven academic departments. The public college offers various postgraduate and undergraduate programmes along with a postgraduate diploma programme.

All the applicants meeting the cut-offs are granted admission after proper verification of the required documents.
Admission to the postgraduate and PG diploma programmes is granted through an admission test held by the university. For PG courses, the college grants admission to the eligible candidates based on their merit in the test.
