Cambrian College, established in 1967, has been the leading post-secondary institutionin the Northern Ontario region. Cambrian College was founded during the creation of the college system in Ontario as a trade school. It was established originally with university grounds in Sault Ste. Marie, North Bay, and Sudbury.
Till 1995, Cambrian had been a bilingual institute, providing courses in French and English. In the same year, the French curriculum was moved to Collège Boréal. In Northern Ontario, this is the largest college. It has more than 4,100 full-time students and offers 80 regular programs that suit the employment and academic aspirations of people.
Located in Greater Sudbury in Ontario, Cambrian College is an applied arts and technology institution. With a population of 161,531, Sudbury is the largest municipality, cultural, economic, and entertainment hub of Northern Ontario.
